Santa Claus is Coming to Defiance Public Library

[DEFIANCE] – Santa Claus will make his way into downtown Defiance
on Dec. 1, and you can join him for story time at Defiance Public Library
(DPL), 320 Fort St., beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Leading up to his visit, holiday festivities will take place throughout the
day at DPL, as part of the Defiance Development and Visitors’ Bureau’s
‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ annual event.

Four kids’ crafts will be available in the children’s department from 1-5
p.m., while supplies last. Carolers from Nightshade Productions will
delight the crowd with holiday music beginning at 4:30 p.m., and
Santa’s arrival in downtown Defiance is slated for 5 p.m. (watch the
Purple Heart Bridge to catch his big entrance).
Attendees can treat themselves to cookies and milk provided by Chief

Supermarket and Arps Dairy, while supplies last.
From 5:30-8 p.m., take a free trip on the Holiday Trolley, loading and
unloading at Triangle Park, courtesy of Defiance Karate. Then, Santa
will be waiting in his house at Triangle Park from 6-8 p.m. to read
Christmas lists and meet his fans.

DPL’s Dec. 1 holiday happenings are supported by the Friends of
Defiance Public Library. For more information, contact the library at
